How a panhollow sale is made.

By browsing panhollow.com, sending an enquiry or accepting a quotation, you agree to these terms. They are issued by the company named at the foot of this page, which operates this site. If you do not accept them, do not place an order with us. Where you order as a business, these terms govern the contract and any standard purchase conditions of your own do not apply unless we accept them in writing and sign them.

Everything here is an enquiry and display page. There is no online checkout, no card form, no payment processor and no binding cart. A quantity you set in the basket is a note to yourself and to us; it is not an order. We never ask for card numbers or online banking credentials, and no page on this domain collects them. Any message that claims otherwise and asks you to pay through a link is not from us.

A quotation is an invitation to treat and stays open for fourteen days unless it says otherwise. No contract is formed by an enquiry, a quotation, or a message on WhatsApp. A contract exists only when we issue a written confirmation or a formal invoice by email and you accept it, or when you pay the invoice we have issued. The written confirmation states the pieces, the quantity, the unit price, the freight, the Incoterm and the delivery window, and it prevails over anything said earlier.

Prices are quoted in United States dollars unless we state another currency in writing. Catalogue prices exclude packing for sea freight, insurance, import duty and destination taxes unless a quotation says DDP. A price shown on the site may be out of date after a foundry run or a freight change; the price in the accepted invoice is the one that binds. We may correct an obvious clerical error before the invoice is issued, and if a raw material or freight cost moves by more than ten per cent before your payment clears we will tell you and you may cancel without charge.

Payment is by bank transfer to the account named on our invoice, or by another method we agree in writing. Unless agreed otherwise, new customers pay the full amount before dispatch; established accounts may be offered a deposit with the balance before shipment. We do not accept card payments on this site. Bank charges levied by an intermediary bank are the payer’s responsibility. Goods remain ours until the invoice is paid in full.

Cast iron is sold by weight, so freight is quoted on the packed weight of the consignment. The bands we use are shown in the table above. Air freight normally lands in three to seven days and sea freight in four to six weeks, port to port; the transit time starts when the carrier collects, not when you pay. We pack within three working days of an accepted invoice unless the invoice states a longer preparation period for a foundry run.

Unless the invoice states another Incoterm, risk passes to you when the consignment is handed to the carrier in Hong Kong, and ownership passes when we have received payment in full. Delivery dates are estimates made in good faith and are not guaranteed unless we confirm a fixed date in writing and accept a late-delivery liability for it. The carrier may need a signature, a telephone number and, in some countries, a tax number; give us accurate details and a reachable contact.

Open the consignment on the day it arrives. Check the carton for crushing, puncture, water damage and re-taping, count the pieces against the packing list, and look at every cast piece for a crack, a chip at the enamel rim and a loose riveted handle before the carrier leaves if you can. Note any damage on the carrier’s delivery document and photograph the carton and the piece the same day. A claim raised weeks later, with the packaging gone, cannot be proved against the carrier, so inspection on delivery is a duty you owe your own claim.

The buyer is the importer of record and pays all import duty, value added tax, goods and services tax, customs brokerage and clearance charges, unless the invoice says DDP in writing. We declare the true value and description; we will not under-declare to reduce duty. If a consignment is held, returned or destroyed because the receiver refused it, could not be reached, or did not pay duty, the resulting freight, storage and duty are the buyer’s cost.

Returns are governed by our returns policy, which forms part of these terms. In short: fourteen days from delivery, unused and unseasoned for a change of mind, with the buyer paying return freight; a genuine manufacturing fault or transit damage is our cost. A used, seasoned pan cannot be resold and cannot be returned for a change of mind. Photograph transit damage on the day of arrival and keep the packaging.

The panhollow name, the text, the layout and the photographs on this site belong to us or to a licensor. You may read, print and share a page for the purpose of considering an order. You may not copy the catalogue into your own shop, use our images in advertising, or register a confusingly similar name or domain. Foundry designs, moulds and tooling made for a private-label run remain ours unless the quotation assigns them to you.

Do not scrape the catalogue with automated tools, probe the server, attempt to reach data that is not yours, or post unlawful content through any form on the site. Do not misrepresent yourself as our agent or resell our pieces as a different brand. We may block an address or refuse an order where there is evidence of fraud, abuse or a safety risk, and we may report a criminal act to the Hong Kong police.

Links to a courier, a bank or a WhatsApp page take you to a service we do not control. Those providers have their own terms and privacy notices, and we are not responsible for their content, availability or handling of your data. Where a carrier or forwarder is named in a quotation, we chose it in good faith but we do not guarantee its performance.

We warrant that the goods match the description and are free from manufacturing defect on arrival, for twelve months on cast and stainless bodies and ninety days on coatings and nonstick surfaces. The warranty does not cover thermal shock, rust from wet storage, burnt-on carbon, dishwasher damage, ordinary wear or commercial abuse. To the fullest extent permitted by Hong Kong law, our total liability for any order is limited to the amount you paid for the goods giving rise to the claim, and we are not liable for lost profit, lost business or indirect loss. Nothing here excludes liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or any liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.

We are not liable for delay or failure caused by something outside our reasonable control: a foundry shutdown, a shortage of pig iron or stainless coil, a typhoon or black rainstorm in Hong Kong, a port strike, a carrier failure, an epidemic control measure, war or a change in export law. We will tell you as soon as we know, and either side may cancel the affected part of the order if the delay runs beyond sixty days.

These terms and every contract made under them are governed by the laws of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region. The courts of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region have exclusive jurisdiction, and both sides submit to it. The United Nations Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods does not apply. If you are a consumer, this does not remove any right you have under the mandatory law of your own country of residence.

We may change these terms for future orders; the version in force when we issue the invoice applies to that order. If a clause is held invalid or unenforceable, the rest stays in force and the invalid clause is read down to the minimum extent needed. A failure to enforce a clause once is not a waiver of it.

Notices under these terms go to the email address at the foot of this page and are treated as received on the next working day in Hong Kong. Write to the registered office for anything that must be served formally. Our returns address is that same registered office.
